About
The beginnings
In 2009, the Meulenwald-Föhren Run became known as „Bendersbachtallauf - der Freunschaftslauf“ and is the largest friendship run in the region. At that time, the long course led through state forest and municipal forest in the direction of Naurath, past the former depot and on to Heidweiler. From there, it went through the Bendersbach valley to Heckenmünster and up to the sulphur and Victoria springs. The route then led, past the Hansenkreuz and the Dierscheider observation tower, back towards Naurath and back to the Viezkelterstation in Föhren.
The new start
The runners crossed two counties on the original long course and had to cross roads a total of four times, which meant a lot of logistical effort and time for us as organisers each time for applications, safety measures and compliance with requirements.
Therefore, we have decided to offer new routes for the main run and the 15km Teschermännchen run in 2022. We were able to keep the familiar 10km routes for runners and walkers. In 2023, we slightly modified the route again.

Changing and shower facilities are available at the Föhren primary school (Im Brühl 3, 54343 Föhren - approx. 3km from the event venue). Toilets in the start/finish area.

The After Run Event will also take place there, in the community room under the gymnasium. We cordially invite you to join us.

The Meulenwald-Föhren-Lauf is a pure landscape run without a competitive character.
Film and phot shoots 📷
Photographs and/or film recordings (including sound) will be made of this event. This is done in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f) DSGVO due to the legitimate interest of LG Meulenwald Föhren in reporting on the sporting event. Furthermore, this is done in accordance with the principles of § 23 KUG (no need for explicit consent) This includes both participants and spectators of the event.
We respect if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed. According to Art. 21 DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and thus also to the taking of photographs and films. In this case, please contact the photographer or cameraman directly.
